My oldest son gave me these cd's when my youngest of 7 children was three. He happened to be easy-going, so I didn't need to use the words of wisdom as much as I did a few years later. (It is a MUST to get the audio version as I can still hear those words of wisdom ringing in my ears, 15 years later). I used the principles taught on these cd's with my grandson, when he was two, and his parents were separating. He was worse than any child I had seen on Super Nanny. He was the screaming, crying, controlling boss of his guilt-ridden parents. Within 6 months of using the simple Love and Logic principles on him, he became his best self and, at 13, he is still a shining example of how a child can fulfill his God-given potential if the parents are their word, kind and loving bosses, and give the child the full accountability for their choices. I tell everyone I know about the principles of Love and Logic, and how it worked like a miracle on my grandson (and my 11 other grandchildren). I would have given anything if I had this wisdom while being a single mom of 6 for 6 years, and beyond. One recent note re that one grandson: Last year, his dad and his wife had won a trip to go fishing in Alaska. They were happy to pay for their son to go with them IF he worked hard in school and received the grades that his efforts would give him. They made it very clear that it would be up to him to decide if he really wanted them to spend their money adding him to the trip. He chose to not work hard and they both were their word to him. He didn't fuss about it as he knew he owned the outcome. His mom and her husband and his parents were appalled by my son and his wife denying my grandson the opportunity to go on the trip. My son and his wife were not swayed and he didn't go. I was so happy for my grandson that he had the opportunity to learn such a valuable life lesson, and parents who loved him enough to give that to him. This year, they have won the same trip and my grandson is working hard on his schoolwork to earn the privilege of going. I firmly believe every child would benefit greatly if every parent listened to, and followed, the principles of Love and Logic. They are God's gift to parents everywhere. Thank you for passing along that gift!! Linda.
